Oleg Verbenkov: Celebrating 25+ Years as a Certified Member of the Planning Institute of British Columbia

We would like to recognize Pacific Land Group’s Founding Principal, Oleg Verbenkov, for his achievement of 25+ Years of Certified Membership with the Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC). Oleg was recognized at the 2025 World Town Planning Day Gala event, receiving a certificate of distinction and a celebratory pin.

Oleg was invited to be the featured guest speaker, concluding the festivities with an inspiring presentation offering encouraging words of advice for the next generation of Planners. Oleg shared stories of his career beginnings, career defining projects, and experience in the industry following technological advancements from hand writing Council reports to the introduction of Artificial Intelligence.

While Oleg was recognized for 25+ Years of Certified Membership with the PIBC, Oleg has over 40 years of combined public and private sector experience in land use and development planning. Oleg has been an inspiration for many Planners, acting as a mentor for several past and present members of PLG. Along with recognizing Oleg’s dedication to the industry and impressive achievements, we want to celebrate all those who have gone on to be skilled and successful Planners supported by Oleg’s mentorship.
