Agricultural Land


Our experience with development on agricultural land includes: Transportation Corridor Applications, ALR exclusions, and non-farm use projects and subdivisions within the ALR.

  • 64th Avenue / Mufford Crescent Overpass
    Transportation Corridor Use approval from the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC).
  • West Maple Ridge Lands
    65 Ha. / 160 Ac. agricultural reserved land in west Maple Ridge, to be excluded from ALC and rezoned for industrial use.
  • Mount Lehman Industrial Lands
    LEED equivalent food storage industrial development at 188th Street and 32nd Avenue, Surrey.
  • Hendricks etc.
    4.5 Ha. / 11 Ac. of agricultural reserved land at 44th Avenue & 216th Street, Township of Langley, excluded from ALC and subdivided into 21 single family lots.
  • Trinity Western University
    9.5 Ha / 22.4 acres agricultural reserved land at Glover Road, Township of Langley, excluded from ALC for University expansion.

Expropriation Impact Assessment / Highest & Best Land Use Analysis


PLG has been retained as a lead consultant in the performance of highest and best use analyses, in order to determine the optimal development potential for unique and/ or challenging properties. We are also experienced in conducting development and financial impact assessments of partial land takings for public uses, such as right-of-ways.
